Operations Manager

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Project Logistics Operations Manager to lead the operational execution of complex logistics projects across the Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors. This role is at the heart of delivering safe, efficient, and on-time project logistics solutions, with active involvement across day-to-day operations, resource planning, and vendor coordination, while also contributing to pricing and procurement decisions that enhance project outcomes and future business opportunities.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

• Manage the end-to-end operational delivery of project cargo movements, including out-of-gauge (OOG), heavy-lift, chartering, and multimodal shipments
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and on-time project delivery
• Prepare and oversee execution plans, transport schedules, risk assessments, and method statements for each project
• Monitor pre-shipment inspections, port operations, lifting, rigging, and final-mile activities to ensure smooth execution
• Proactively resolve operational challenges, ensuring continuous communication across all supply chain stakeholders
• Manage vendor performance, ensure compliance with safety and contractual standards, and support procurement through partner selection and negotiation
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of logistics documentation, including permits, customs paperwork, and shipping instructions
• Maintain adherence to international trade regulations, incoterms, and client-specific compliance requirements
• Contribute to operational costing, tender processes, and identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance project profitability
• Collaborate with commercial and procurement teams to assess supplier proposals, mitigate operational risks, and drive logistics efficiencies.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Our ideal candidate has significant experience in project logistics operations (oil, gas, renewables, industrial projects preferred) together with:
• Strong understanding of heavy-lift, breakbulk, and specialized transport, including multimodal planning
• Proven experience managing field execution, site logistics, and vendor coordination
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance, import/export documentation, and compliance requirements
• Solid communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
