About the Team

About the RoleHere at Workday, our Account Executives are key players in our Field Sales organization. With a net new revenue focus, they drive new customer growth and guide customers on a journey to move away from legacy platforms to our enterprise management cloud. You will partner with customers to craft relevant solutions that deliver long-lasting value and ensure customers are positively satisfied from day one and beyond. In this role, you will:
- Develop strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in the assigned territory
- Perform account planning for assigned accounts, coordinating with pre-sales and other resources to ensure strategic alignment
- Initiate and support sales of Workday solutions within Medium Enterprise prospects and communicate Workday value propositions
- Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data
Basic Qualifications (must have experience):
- 3+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud-based ERP / HCM / Financial / Planning / or Analytics solutions to C-levels from a field sales position in the Australian market
Other Qualifications (preferred, but not essential):
- Proven track record in a high-velocity sales cycle, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities
- Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape of the industry by staying up to date with trends and customer needs to effectively position Workday solutions within accounts
- Experience leveraging and partnering with internal team members on account strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
