Overview

QGAO provides office accommodation solutions and is responsible for one of the largest owned and leased portfolios of non-residential properties in Queensland. In addition, QGAO manages the department's government employee housing (GEH) portfolio of approximately 2,900 GEH residences to support the delivery of government services across Queensland.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the operations, maintenance and testing of integrated workplace management systems (e.g. Manhattan) and associated help desk facilities, maintaining user access and security configuration.
  • Providing direction and assistance to management, staff and customers through business analysis activities, implementation of proposals and by assisting with the preparation of executive correspondence and briefing notes.
  • Developing, maintaining and documenting various system administration and business processes, managing the training requirements for end users and develop the training methodologies required.
  • Contributing to the development and review of business processes, assessing their impact on key systems and end users and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Coordinating and participating in various user groups to provide recommendations in relation to business process improvement, and the associated application development and implementation of system modifications.
  • Networking with industry and representing the Queensland Government Accommodation Office both internally and externally.
  • Contributing to multi-disciplinary teams involved in the management of the Government's office accommodation and residential portfolio by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the information technology industry and the Department.
  • Supporting the production of monthly invoicing, credit note, statement and payment runs.
Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the operations of an integrated workplace management system, including help desk facilities, user access and security configuration.
  • An ability to write well, with experience in effectively communicating with colleagues, managers and customers on operational policy and procedure.
  • Experience in developing system administration and business process documents including training requirements and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated drive and commitment, and a track record of managing numerous activities simultaneously while achieving results.
