About The Role

The Quality Controller is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality standards across both the Extrusion and Finishing departments at National Aluminium. This role plays a key part in identifying, reporting, and addressing quality issues, ensuring products meet internal standards and customer expectations, while supporting the business in maintaining its ISO 9001 accreditation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track, investigate, and report on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections across the extrusion and finishing departments to detect and document any product or process issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis on identified quality issues, working with relevant teams to determine effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the business (Operations, Sales and Production) teams to identify recurring quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure all quality processes and documentation are aligned with ISO 9001 standards, and support audits and reviews as needed.
  • Monitor quality control procedures and support the continuous improvement of quality systems and processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to both operational and sales staff on quality standards and procedures to embed a culture of quality across the business, ensuring alignment between production capabilities and customer expectations.
What We're Looking For
  • Prior experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with aluminium extrusion and finishing processes (desirable but not essential).

National Aluminium runs two high-tech anodising plants, two Horizontal Paint lines and one state of the art Vertical Paintline.
