About the role

B&S Engineering is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. In this full-time position based in Cheltenham VIC 3192, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and safety standards of our manufacturing processes and end products. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing our products at various stages of production to identify and address any quality issues.

What you'll be doing

  • Measuring and inspecting components using precision tools and CMM
  • Programming, setting up, and running the CMM (training provided)
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Performing dimensional checks and reporting results
  • Working with the production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and productive workshop

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector or a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and tools
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality control documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards
