Overview

We are looking for a team member who can contribute to a professional, friendly Costco outing experience and help our members make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Assists members with choosing eyeglass frames and lens options appropriate to prescription; fits and adjusts spectacles; measures heights and pupil distance for various lens types and designs; answers questions regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services.
  • Processes sales and places special orders to outside suppliers. Stocks department equipment, merchandise, and supplies. Follows department procedures and standards for production, record keeping, merchandising, and storage.
  • Maintains merchandise and department standards.
  • Exerts exemplary standards in confidentiality of patient information.
  • Follows proper Optical Center, general safety and security procedures; assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
  • Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
The Successful Applicant Will
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Enjoy high attention to detail
  • Currently completing or previously completed Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing (highly regarded; extra remuneration incentive for completing this Cert IV)
  • Having previous experience in an optical role is very highly regarded
