Ophthalmic Technician Career Opportunity

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Optical dispensing or nursing. We welcome applications from enthusiastic people with no experience, but who are excited about building a career as an Ophthalmic Technician and can demonstrate their interest and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Ophthalmologist in all aspects of patient care to facilitate efficient and effective patient management
- Conduct consultations with patients to perform screening tests and take medical histories
- Maintain medical stock supplies
- Provide surgical guidance and administrative support involved in organizing operating lists.
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously
- A high level of customer service
- Reliability, efficiency, and the capacity to work under pressure
The hours may vary according to clinic workload and are across our multiple locations at Newcastle, Nelson Bay, Raymond Terrace, and East Maitland. A willingness to travel is essential.
This role will be diverse and all tasks undertaken must be completed with a high level of attention to detail.
