Our specialist programs cater to a variety of student needs and interests, including a Gifted and Talented program, specialised music and sports programs (such as Cricket, Netball, and Volleyball), numerous after-school clubs, sporting teams, and a language program in French and Japanese. The Role
Harrisdale SHS is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) teacher to join our high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving and growing school community that values academic excellence, critical thinking, and student engagement.
The successful applicant will ideally have experience teaching Years 7 to 10 Humanities and Social Sciences, with a strong understanding of effective HASS pedagogy and the ability to deliver engaging, conceptually rich lessons. While not required, experience teaching Senior School HASS courses or holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.

Qualifications
- Experience teaching Years 7–10 HASS with a solid understanding of HASS pedagogy and the ability to deliver engaging, conceptually focused lessons.
- Experience teaching Senior School HASS courses or holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
Eligibility
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
