You'll find our treats stocked in some big names — Starbucks, Coles, Reddy Express, Woolworths, Ampol, Bunnings and BP — so whether you're grabbing a coffee, fueling up, or doing the weekly shop, a donut fix, or savoury treat is never far away

The Role

At Daniel's Donuts, we don't just serve thousands of fresh, delicious donuts every day — we also keep the gears turning behind the scenes with a rock-solid IT operation. We're looking for a brilliant and hands-on IT Operations Manager who's just as passionate about smooth systems as we are about sweet treats.

As our IT Operations Manager, you'll take charge of our end-to-end technology operations across retail stores, factories, and our support offices. From transactions in-store, to the programs in the factories and everything in-between — you'll be the go-to for all things tech.

This is your chance to lead a small but mighty IT team, ensuring every glitch gets squashed faster than a jam donut on a hot day. You'll champion uptime, manage our tech infrastructure, own vendor relationships, and help scale our systems as the business grows (spoiler: we're growing fast).

What you'll be doing (aka: How You'll Keep the Donut Machine Running Smoothly)

Keeping Our Tech Rolling (Infrastructure Management)

• Be the captain of our digital ship — making sure systems, networks, cloud tools, and devices all hum along without a hitch.
• Monitor systems like a hawk to prevent hiccups before they happen.
• Lead projects that make our tech faster, smarter, and more deliciously scalable — from stores to factories to HQ.
• Make sure our systems and processes keep up to date with the rapidly changing world of security
• Ensure our IT foundations are stable and reliable.

Tech Hero to the Rescue (Help Desk & End-User Support)

• Lead our in-house tech support to deliver lightning-fast and high quality, friendly service to our whole crew.
• Keep things snappy with well-oiled SLAs and top-notch ticket turnaround.
• Always be levelling-up: find ways to streamline support and boost user happiness.
• Make sure we're staying on the right side of IT policies, licenses, and compliance.
• Partner with teams across the business to truly understand what they need and deliver it with a cherry on top.
• Keep our digital manuals neat, tidy, and up to date — just like your desktop.

Master of Tech Deals (Vendor & Procurement Management)

• Build solid relationships with our tech vendors — and keep them on their toes
• Flex those negotiation muscles when it's time to renew contracts or licenses.
• Manage the ins and outs of IT procurement balancing performance and budget like a pro.

Smooth Operator (IT Service Delivery)

• Track performance metrics, share the wins, and tackle issues head-on.
• Be the tech translator — working with teams to turn their needs into IT magic.
• Make sure IT is built for the people who use it. Don't try to fit a square peg into a round donut.
• Document everything like your future self will thank you (because they will).

• 5+ years of leading IT legends — you've been in the trenches leading from the front while managing systems, networks, and infrastructure without breaking a sweat.
• Help desk hero — you've led support teams who solve tech issues faster than a custard-filled donut disappears at morning tea.
• Vendor whisperer — you know how to handle suppliers, wrangle contracts, and get the best bang for our buck.
• Tech all-rounder — you speak fluent Wi-Fi, cloud, cybersecurity, databases and systems (and maybe a little bit of donut ordering software).
• Born leader — whether it's leading projects or coaching your team, you're the calm in the tech storm.
• Smooth communicator — from execs to end-users, you make complex IT sound simple, human, and helpful.
• Retail or hospitality savvy — triple bonus points if you've worked in fast-paced environments like retail, FMCG, or hospo.
• ITIL or service delivery pro — you understand frameworks and best practices that keep everything humming.
• POS and payments know-how — if you've wrangled point-of-sale systems or retail platforms, we're already impressed.
