About The Role

The Clinical Manager will partner with Clinical Directors and collaborate with all levels of operational, corporate and clinical leaders to ensure the ultimate goal of safe compassionate care for patients of SLHD is achieved. The role will provide guidance, supervision, management and strategic direction for the specialties in the relevant clinical streams to ensure that there is a focus on service development, high standards of patient care, efficient use of resource and appropriate oversight of practices, trends and indicators.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Extensive recent management experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in the relevant setting, supported by a relevant tertiary management qualification and/or work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with development and implementation of business, strategic and operational plans and a comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and the current nursing/midwifery, medical and health issues pertaining to the Stream.
