Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
  • Perform triage and assessment of patients presenting to the healthcare facility.
  • Coordinate and supervise sick parades, including triage, assessment, outpatient, and inpatient treatment.
  • Manage patient clinical records in both electronic and paper formats in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
  • Order and maintain clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies.
  • Participate in governance activities, including clinical reviews, health surveillance, and auditing.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 12 months full-time Post Graduate experience within the previous 5 years in an acute care or primary health care setting (or part-time equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality clinical care in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and protocols.
  • Experience in triage, assessment, and management of patient care in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AHPRA codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and supervise sick parades, medical appointments, and maintain clinical records in electronic and paper formats.
  • Understanding of infection control practices and compliance with professional standards and legislation.
