The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
- Perform triage and assessment of patients presenting to the healthcare facility.
- Coordinate and supervise sick parades, including triage, assessment, outpatient, and inpatient treatment.
- Manage patient clinical records in both electronic and paper formats in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
- Order and maintain clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies.
- Participate in governance activities, including clinical reviews, health surveillance, and auditing.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 12 months full-time Post Graduate experience within the previous 5 years in an acute care or primary health care setting (or part-time equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality clinical care in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and protocols.
- Experience in triage, assessment, and management of patient care in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of AHPRA codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
- Ability to effectively coordinate and supervise sick parades, medical appointments, and maintain clinical records in electronic and paper formats.
- Understanding of infection control practices and compliance with professional standards and legislation.
