We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate and Commercial Team at Marsh Townsville, QLD. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role will suit an experienced insurance broker with 1-2 years' experience managing an SME portfolio of business. This role will provide exposure to a diverse portfolio of risks, participating in new business tenders and proposals, building a network of opportunities and assisting with the placement of complex insurance programs.
We will count on you to:
- Maintain a portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
- Grow a commercial portfolio through new logo and organic expanded opportunities.
- On-board new clients and deliver on our value proposition.
- Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers
- Plan and implement effective renewal and broking strategies.
- Ensure effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
- Actively participate in claim-related matters
- Ideally someone with 1 – 2 years broking experience.
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team
- Moderate knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
- Motivation to self-start, enhanced by time management skills
- Capability to identify and address issues through innovative thinking
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite and demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualifications or higher
- Strong new business network to generate opportunities.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
- High degree of commitment to client service.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
