About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, social and aquatic centre focused environment, where your customer service skills will be put to great use greeting our members, providing program information to potential new users, and ensuring all our customers feel warmly welcomed and supported from the moment they enter Councils facilities.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
  • demonstrated extensive experience in handling cash, reconciliation and operating a computerised point of sale equipment
  • demonstrated experience working in a fast paced customer service role
  • demonstrated knowledge and experience in use of a computerized member/customer management system (database)
  • demonstrated ability to participate and actively contribute in a team environment to achieve organisational goals and outcomes
  • strong customer service ethos and a demonstrated customer-centric approach to service provision
  • demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff and members of the public both verbally and in writing\

Other Important Information
  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $29.66 per hour. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $34.36 per hour on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation. Weekend rates apply for weekend work.
  • We have a temporary part-time role available.
  • This role is located at the Wyong Olympic Pool.

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
