Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance Member Operations, the Compliance Specialist is a key member of AustralianSuper's 1st line Risk and Compliance team for Fund Services. This role provides 1st line compliance across the Fund Services Group's regulatory obligations, in particular Member Operations. It plays a key role in reviewing and approving activities and materials and serving as a regulatory and technical SME for Fund Services. This is a 12-month contract.



Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day compliance reviews, assessments, feedback and sign-off as required for the Fund Services teams (Member Administration & Performance, Insurance Operations & Claims, and Remediation Management).
  • Perform compliance assessment on Member Operations incidents in accordance with the Fund's Incident Management and Breach Reporting policy.
  • Provide support on projects or initiatives as SME to ensure compliance with the SIS Act, Corporations Act and other relevant legislation, regulations and Prudential Standards.


Qualifications
  • Commitment to AustralianSuper's purposes and values.
  • 3+ years' experience in financial services compliance and an understanding of financial products and business processes.
  • Experience with and understanding of financial services regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
  • Commercially astute.
  • RG 146 is desirable.
