Audit and Compliance Specialist
Job DescriptionThis role is a vital part of the Contract Management team, responsible for ensuring effective oversight of the tram franchise agreement through auditing, compliance, and reporting activities. As an Audit and Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and contributing to best practice frameworks, coordinating and overseeing risk-based audit and compliance programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of auditing, contract management, and assurance principles, with relevant qualifications and/or related experience. They will also possess strong analytical skills, be able to interpret and present complex data in a clear and concise manner, and have competency in reporting, data analysis, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and contribute to best practice frameworks for audit and compliance programs.
- Coordinate and oversee risk-based audit and compliance activities.
- Prepare audit scopes, briefs, and related activities within broad parameters.
- Undertake complex or technical investigations and make recommendations based on findings.
- Interpret and apply contract terms, policies, and procedures.
- Relevant qualification and/or related experience in auditing, contract management, and/or assurance.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and present complex data.
- Competency in reporting, data analysis, and presentation.
- Sound understanding of electronic document record management systems.
