Job Title: Facilities and Compliance Specialist

This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne CBD with travel to sites across Melbourne's North and West.

As a facilities and compliance specialist, you will oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of commercial properties.

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate contractors to undertake repairs and maintenance work.
  • Arrange for regular maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including employees, clients, and suppliers.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and develop strategies to improve workplace safety.
  • Manage reporting requirements, including incident reports and compliance certificates.

The property portfolio includes commercial, service delivery sites, retail, and early learning facilities across Victoria and Tasmania.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a facilities and compliance specialist. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial properties.

You will be responsible for conducting site inspections, coordinating contractors, and arranging maintenance and repairs. You will also engage with stakeholders, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and manage reporting requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in building construction, facilities management, or a trade.
  • Previous experience in a property, facilities, building, and/or construction role.
  • Experience in coordinating small to maximum-sized projects.
  • Knowledge of building codes, OHS legislation, and safety regulations relating to facilities management.
  • A current driver's licence (essential).

A strong understanding of workplace safety and compliance principles is essential for this role. You will also need excellent communication and project management skills.
