Overview

As a Power Platform Developer within the MS Apps & Automation Team in CSIRO's IMT Business Unit, you will contribute to the design and delivery of solutions that support our strategic and operational objectives.

Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts and testers as part of a high-performing DevOps team. This role will see you engaged in a variety of activities, adapting to change and applying initiative while also working under guidance as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Adapt and/or develop original solutions to meet the provided requirements
  • Provide technical advice that is aligned with the overall solution designs, architecture and framework
  • Respond to production issues and routine maintenance activities as required
  • Successfully complete assigned development tasks as specified by due dates
  • Use sound judgement when dealing with unexpected or competing project priorities or issues
  • Contribute actively to all stages of project delivery, from end-to-end

Location: Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide

Salary: AU$96,811 - AU$109,527 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

Tenure: Indefinite

To be considered you will need
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Power Platform, specifically with Power Pages and Power Automate
  • Proven technical skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft App development utilizing Azure App Service and Power Platform and consuming channels like Microsoft Teams Apps
    • Proficiency in Power Platform and low code technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage several competing project priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated customer-focused approach when formulating project solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational excellence
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures in consultation with the Developer Team Lead
  • Desirable: Experience working with Dynamics Portal online
  • Experience using Power BI and data integration

Eligibility

Applications for this position are open to Australian Citizens; the successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the NV1 Level. Appointment to this role is subject to provision of a national police check and may be subject to other security/medical/character requirements.
