Overview

Who are we?

UpGuard's mission is to protect the world's data. We obsessively seek out elegant, robust ways to enable our customers to find, acknowledge, and remediate cyber risk. With UpGuard, organizations leverage our security expertise and software to automate what was once laborious, spreadsheet-driven processes–whether it's monitoring the attack surface of hundreds of vendors or assessing the security of their own infrastructure. UpGuard is used by some of the world's largest, fastest-growing, and most innovative companies.

The Marketing team at UpGuard includes multiple marketing and design functions, including Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, Content Marketing, SEO, Community, Design, and Video. UpGuard's vision is to become a leader in the markets we play in (Cyber VRM, Attack Surface Management) by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Marketing team is to facilitate this goal by growing UpGuard with a repeatable and scalable marketing engine and a leading brand.

Why are we hiring for this role?

This role is a pivotal technical position within UpGuard's marketing team, focusing on the full-stack development of our website. You'll be instrumental in building robust and high-performing web experiences, from intricate front-end interfaces to powerful back-end systems (largely leveraging Netlify). This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our ongoing tech stack evolution, including the implementation of modern frameworks like Astro. You'll work closely with our cross-functional web team, including designers, content strategists, and SEO specialists, to translate design concepts into functional realities, develop interactive tools, and ensure our website stands as a leading example of modern web development in the SaaS space.

  • Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for existing website features and infrastructure.

  • Modern Web Technologies: A comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with a range of modern web technologies, including front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte) and back-end languages/frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP).
  • CMS Proficiency: Experience working with and optimising various Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • UI/UX Implementation: Strong ability to translate design mockups and UX flows into pixel-perfect and highly functional web interfaces.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: A commitment to writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.
What will give you an edge?
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms or cloud platforms (e.g., Netlify, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with database design.

  • Experience with internationalisation (i18n), content translation, and regionalised product offerings
  • Demonstrated experience or a strong passion for developing with Astro, with a clear understanding of its architecture and benefits.
