The RTO Manager supports the Chief Executive Officer with the overall compliance functions of the group. As an experienced and knowledgeable compliance expert the purpose of this role is to support the delegated compliance duties and projects from the CEO to ensure quality standards and controls are evident in the RTO functions of the group.
The position also supports the Chief Executive in driving the success of the business through:
Contributing dynamically to the success of the Purpose, Vision, and Goals
Supporting the achievement of financial stability by operating within budgetary limits and adopting a cost savings approach. Looking through a commercial lens when making everyday decisions
Identifying and leveraging opportunities critical to excellence in operational activities
Developing solid State Government compliance knowledge and be able to manage contractual obligations on regulatory standards
Modelling resilience, adaption to change and looking for opportunities to support colleagues in aligning to the strategic direction
ExperiencePrivate RTO 3+ years
Understanding of VET standards, guidelines and legislation
Exposure to internal and external audits
Understanding in RTO Standards and State Funding Contracts(VIC, NSW, QLD & SA)
Proficient in MS office and the ability to present information in varying formats
Highly developed skills in managing multiple tasks and competing priorities, and in meeting conflicting deadlines
Understanding of VET training packages and units of competency
Exposure to Validation
Student Management Systems (VETrak Cloud)
Accountabilities and ContributionOperations & Team Management
Develop best business practices and tools for compliance management tasks
Manage and distribute Government notifications to all relevant staff
Support the day-to-day operations of the quality and compliance department, including:
Labour balancing the processing of training evidence
Ensure data teams are meeting processing KPI's
Managing the continuous improvement register
Coordinate the validation of assessments (as required)
Ensure all staff adhere to the compliance Policies and Procedures
Oversee the coordination, supervision and performance management of all Quality and Compliance direct staff
Provide direction, leadership and support across the business in relation to quality and compliance functions
Provide leadership to Facilitator staff in ensuring quality and compliance measures are adhered to
RTO Compliance
Oversee the management of quality data related to delivery of training and assessment
Report RTO compliance updates during management and staff monthly meetings
Ensure compliance with quality procedures and systems are adhered to with a view to continuous improvement
Assess student eligibility in line with the Guidelines to Eligibility (State Government Funding)
Liaise with the Chief Executive to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are adhered
Report RTO key metrics to the Chief Executive Officer
Ensure participant files are compliant with ASQA requirements and State funding contracts
Ensure that training and assessment materials and strategies are compliant with regulatory bodies before release to public
Provide counsel for the development of high quality compliant training and assessment resources
Monitor the implementation of processes and standards to ensure compliance with ASQA Standards and State Government funding contracts
Monitor business functions to meet changes to RTO compliance and legislative requirements
Participate and manage all external ASQA or other regulatory audit activities
Manage Compliance Systems
Manage the configuration of VETtrak to ensure a functional and accurate student management system
Monitor the recording of student results within VETtrak and identify areas for improvement
Develop effective procedures to ensure administrative reporting requirements can be generated with the relevant data, including funding requirements and statistical/completion reports
Ensure all users are trained and developed to use VETtrak to the fullest capabilities
Support theHead of Quality and Compliancein ensuring claims for funding are accurate, compliant and within reasonable timeframes
Overseeing Vative's Leaning Management System (LMS) - aNewSpring ensuring integration with regulatory standards and Government funding claims.
