About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director in a standalone Bookkeeping role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing and preparing fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy in pay rates, deductions, and superannuation contributions.
  • Completing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) in line with tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and follow-ups on overdue accounts.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Keeping the general ledger updated and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports to assess the company's financial performance.
  • Ensuring accurate tax reporting and aiding in the preparation of annual tax returns.
  • Coordinating with external accountants for tax planning, audits, and other financial matters.
  • Providing administrative and clerical support as required.
