This is a pivotal, newly created leadership role designed to establish and embed a group-wide risk and legal framework. Reporting to the executive team, you will be the architect of the group's risk management strategy, bringing cohesion and best practice to a diverse portfolio of businesses.

You will move beyond theory to create pragmatic, value-adding systems that protect the organisation and enable its commercial goals. Leading a capable team, you will be the central point of contact for senior leaders, providing the expert guidance needed to navigate a complex operational landscape.

1. Design and implement a group-wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, tailored to an industrial services environment.
2. Consolidate disparate risk registers from individual business units into a single, cohesive group-level view.
3. Refine and mature existing risk matrices and assessment tools, driving a uniform and sophisticated approach to identifying, measuring, and mitigating risk.
4. Facilitate quarterly Risk Committee meetings, providing insightful analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
5. Lead and mentor a team to build a high-performing risk and legal function.
6. Oversee the standardisation of core contracts such as NDAs, and supplier agreements, improving efficiency and consistency across the group.
7. Provide pragmatic, commercially-focused legal advice on a range of corporate and operational matters.

1. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law or related fields, with experience in commercial and risk environments.
2. Experience leading a risk, legal, or GRC function, preferably within industrial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, or trades sectors.
3. A proven track record in creating and implementing risk frameworks from the ground up.
4. A pragmatic, commercially astute approach that demonstrates how risk and legal functions can add value.
5. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, capable of guiding senior leaders confidently.
6. A hands-on attitude, comfortable with both strategic and operational tasks.
