RUSSH Media is looking for a Designer to join the team.

This an opportunity for you to work for one of Australia's largest fashion mastheads and a leading voice in independent media. The Designer role sits within our editorial and marketing teams and it's critical to driving and communicating the visual language of RUSSH across all brand channels. This is a position for a fresh self-starter, with excellent time management skills, who can work comfortably within a close-knit team.

Who we are looking for:

You are a creative mind who has no trouble taking direction from the Art Director and Content Director, but can use your own vision when required. You are able to manage multiple projects across different departments simultaneously. You are an expert in industry-standard software like the Adobe suite. You possess a high level of attention to detail and have a keen desire to learn from the people around you. We need someone who is highly-organised with the ability to manage expectations. This role would be well-suited to someone who has 2 years of experience in graphic design, production or other image making.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Coordinate the production of RUSSH print magazine, including managing deadlines, delivery of key assets and content, and communicating with contributors.
• Produce magazine layouts in accordance with the RUSSH visual style guide
• When required assist in producing and creating images for RUSSH print magazines.
• Assist the team in research, organising the on-wall flat-plan and implementing edits and feedback.
• Maintaining and managing the organisation of our server - including uploading the high-res PDFs from the magazine, retrieving imagery on request, and managing regular maintenance.
• Assisting in the design of marketing material as needed.
• Assist with keeping the RUSSH visual language consistent across print.
• Be the go-to person for the editorial team on web designs for RUSSH.com, including producing feature imagery, editing and laying out photos, designing custom layouts in Wordpress bakery.
• Design templates for the digital team to use to create content for the RUSSH social channels.
• Produce social media posts and videos.
• Be responsible for uploading key magazine and digital imagery to Pinterest.
• Assist with UX/UI designs for web where required.
• Edit videos for web and social where required.
• Assisting in the design of marketing material as needed.
• Assist with keeping the RUSSH visual language consistent across all digital channels

Partnerships design and asset creation:

• Create visual assets for brand activation s including for native features, digital and print display, emails, invitations, decals and event visuals.
• Edit, design and create banners for the website and the eDM.
• Design documents including pitch response decks, media kits, insights presentations, brand partner emails, press releases and other brand documents.
• Assist with video editing for partnered executions.
• Assisting in the design of marketing material as needed.
• Assist with keeping the RUSSH visual language consistent across all partnered executions.

Required qualifications, qualities and experience:

• Between 1- and 5-years' experience in a digital or print design – experience in marketing, ecommerce or publishing will be highly regarded.
• A high level of proficiency in all Adobe applications, especially InDesign and Photoshop.
• Organised with a high level of attention to detail.
• An interest in fashion, beauty, art and music.

Highly desirable qualifications and experience:

• A tertiary qualification in design, visual arts, communications, marketing or another related field will be highly regarded.
