The role:

The Marketing and Communications Manager role is a pivotal position to enhance Korowa's already highly positive reputation in Melbourne. Reporting to the Director of Development and Community Relations, this role represents the external and internal face of the School community.

Managing a small team, the Marketing and Communications Manager is both a highly strategic and hands on position, in a work environment where possibilities and new ideas are endless.

The role requires a talented marketer who can see the points of differentiation in a highly competitive market and be able to harness them to increase enrolments and engagement.

Korowa prides themselves on their inclusivity, adaptability and willingness to engage audiences through story-telling, content and multi-faceted marketing campaigns.

In addition to this, you will also be responsible for the following:

• Team management
• Annual report
• Upcoming rebranding and refresh
• Facilitating a new website and social platforms
• Content management (including digital channels and video content)
• Project management and optimising team's workflow
• Communications with parent body
• Managing external agencies
• Providing a strategic marketing lens on strategy and implementation

Skills and experience:

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be a content savvy senior professional with an eye for detail. You will be a community minded person who can work with numerous stakeholders and groups, including parents, students, teachers, prospective families, and external agencies.

You will also have the following skills and/or experience:

• Exceptional written and verbal communications skill and content development
• A strategic marketing background where you can identify and assess opportunities
• Digital marketing expertise
• A proven track record leading a team
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering marketing strategies to enhance organisational objectives
• Strong project management skills and the willingness and ability to multi-task
• A community mindset – acknowledging there will be competing priorities day to day
• A desire to commit to professional development
• An understanding of data analysis and reporting in marketing
• Ideally you will come from a work environment with complex stakeholder groups with the proven ability to manage expectations
• A passion for education and driving excellence in youth development/community arenas
