Responsibilities
  • Handle invoicing and financial accounting, including creating and sending tax invoices, recording payments, and chasing outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and ensure that bank, general and trust account ledger entries and reconciliation are fulfilled.
  • Provide general administrative support such as filing, answering the phones when needed, and assisting the legal team with their billing using our legal software.
  • Manage and support the team to ensure the delivery of top-tier client service.
  • Other general office support as needed across the team.
  • Enjoy working as part of a close office team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar administration and accounting role, ideally within a legal or professional service environment.
  • A detailed understanding of Queensland trust accounting regulations and financial management practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal (Smokeball) or billing software (Xero) is highly desirable.
  • Highly organised, with exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines and ensure smooth team operations.
