Role Overview

As Bastion's Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be largely responsible for driving the recruitment function such as identifying, hiring and on-boarding key talent that our business requires nationally.

Reporting to the GM People + Culture, you will liaise directly with the individual business CEOs and hiring managers on what great talent looks like, to ensure we attract, acquire and retain the best.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the end-to-end recruitment cycle for the Bastion group, nationally
  • Partner with MD hiring managers, and senior leaders within the group to map out core responsibilities and competencies for all roles
  • Support hiring managers with the development of job descriptions and online advertising job descriptions
  • Conduct initial applicant interviews and make recommendations to hiring managers on the suitability of the candidates
  • Develop effective talent sourcing strategies to ensure continuous pipelining of talent
  • Manage appropriate partnerships with sourcing and talent suppliers (i.e. LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Ensure you are delivering a first-class candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Manage pre-employment check compliance process including references, criminal history checks and work eligibility
  • Build strong relationships across all business and levels of seniority
  • Regularly report on recruitment targets including time to hire and retention rates
  • Manage the employment offer process including developing of all contracts
  • Deliver on all talent acquisition targets
  • Manage the 6 month staff onboarding process
What You Bring
  • A proven track record working in the Marketing recruitment industry – in-house preferred, but not essential
  • An ability to understand the skills and resourcing requirements of a diverse range of marketing businesses
  • A confident approach to stakeholder management is essential
  • Can assess the suitability of a candidate quickly, and knows the right questions to ask in order to assess a candidate's attitude, ability and skill set
  • Is a strategic thinker and able to see the bigger picture when it comes to identifying where and how talent might sit within the organisation
  • Has a people first attitude – and has an incredibly strong desire to make an impact in a business that cares for its people
  • Has a substantial professional network
  • Has a proactive approach to talent acquisition
  • Has the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Has strong time and task management skills
  • Has a strong work ethic and able to manage multiple projects at any one time
  • Understands the pressure which comes with working in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Is curious, loves to ask questions and loves people
