We are seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisitions & People Manager to join our team at Learning Online. As a mid-size company of 80 employees, you will be the responsible for a range of activities and have broad mandate over how to pursue your role, making it a great opportunity for you to gain exposure and develop a broad and unique skillset.
Your two key responsibilities are the hiring of new team members and the ongoing management of our internal HR policies and procedures, both of which are vital to the company's success.
**The key skills/experience for the role are;**
- A background in HR or people management
- An understanding of HR policy
- Ability to ideate and manage projects relating to HR and talent acquisition
- A bright and jovial attitude with your approach to work
- Ability to relate and connect with people
- Recruitment experience is strongly preferred
**Key Responsibilities**:
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with senior management to understand growth strategies and hiring forecasts
- Develop talent acquisition strategies, attraction methods, and hiring plans
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for the company and its various departments -creating job descriptions, advertising, screening, interviewing, offer management, and everything in between.
- Manage external recruitment agencies when / if required
- Develop, implement, and market the company Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
- Build and manage talent pipelines
- Assist in employee retention and development strategies
- Ensure all departments are staffed according to hiring forecast with top talent
- Create project plans for departmental improvement, execute the project plan, and see those plans through to completion
People Manager
- Provide strategic direction to the Leadership Team regarding key organizational and management issues
- Drive the values of Learning Online throughout the organization
- Continue to develop, create, and implement HR policies and procedures
- Investigate employee issues and conflicts and help bring them to resolution
- Constant engagement with employees to understand the pulse, proactively address concerns and work towards an environment that retains top talent
- Ensure Learning Online continues and becomes and employer of choice
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition and people management
- Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Experience in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies and marketing the company's employee value proposition (EVP)
- Strong project management skills
