About your role

Working closely with the Cbus team of Retirement Advisers, your primary responsibility will be creating high-quality limited-scope Statements of Advice (SOAs) to help our members and their partners achieve better retirement outcomes.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to:

• Prepare professional, high-quality, limited-scope retirement SOAs quickly and accurately and ensure all SOA documentation complies with Cbus guidelines.
• Analyse advice and strategies to ensure they meet our Best Interest Duty.
• Meet productivity and quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with Retirement Advisers and the advice team.
• Collaborate with the team to improve processes and member service.
• Support and administer advice technology for smooth operations.
• Review advice documents from other team members.

About You

You are RG146 compliant. You have completed or are in the process of completing your Financial Planning qualifications. You have demonstrated experience in paraplanning, especially with Superannuation and retirement strategies. Familiarity with financial planning software, particularly Midwinter, is preferable. A solid technical knowledge of financial planning and Superannuation and an understanding of regulatory requirements for financial advice are essential. Experience with Defined Benefit Schemes would be beneficial.

You have high accuracy, initiative, a proactive work ethic, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to prioritise, delegate, and multitask is essential, as is being self-motivated and capable of working independently and in a team. A strong customer service ethic and positive attitude are vital, as well as being resilient, reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic.
