We're now seeking a dynamic Building Manager - Regional to help drive consistency, quality, and operational improvements across our regional teams.

The Opportunity

This role is central to lifting performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction across Sherridon Homes' regional construction operations. You'll be deeply embedded in supporting and uplifting our Site Managers and Construction Managers—working closely with cross-functional teams and head office departments to bring insights, implement improvements, and build strong, lasting relationships.

This role is based out of our Metro office in Derrimut, however, will require regular weekly travel across Regional Victoria (Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, and Gippsland Regions – including overnight stays in some cases).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction Training & Development: Grow and accelerate the Sherridon Regional Construction Training Program, working directly with our teams to raise standards across the board.
  • Operational Improvements: Gather and analyse data to identify and implement business improvements across estimating, drafting, ETS, QA practices, compliance, private inspections, service/warranty, customer feedback and more.
  • Regional Support: Rotate across regional offices weekly, attend production days and actively support site and construction managers with coaching, training, and problem-solving.
  • Key Performance Support:
    • Quality: Manage QA programs and uphold construction quality standards.
    • OH&S: Work with the OH&S team to ensure safety compliance across sites and help roll out safety policies and procedures.
    • Timeframes: Troubleshoot construction delays and help teams meet build targets.
    • Budgets: Identify ways to reduce ETS costs and construction waste while supporting teams to stay on budget.
    • Customer Experience: Be a hands-on contributor to improving the client journey and overall satisfaction.
  • Run & Manage: Administration support to the regional teams with the bonus program, general operations, fleet, IT, hardware and more.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Participate in key meetings across Metro and regional locations (OH&S, procurement, PD, suppliers etc), while ensuring effective information sharing with regional managers for smooth implementation and collaborative execution.
  • Partner With Leadership: Work closely with our Managing Director and the executive team on critical projects and business needs.
  • Champion SR Culture: Build trust, promote team unity, and be a passionate advocate for the Sherridon Regional brand and business.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in residential construction (Construction Management or related roles)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement operational improvements
  • Solid understanding of OH&S compliance and quality assurance
  • Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites
  • High emotional intelligence and with a positive mindset. The ability to mentor, coach and influence diverse/dispersed teams and to bring people together.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in using data to drive decisions
