The Role

At Infinite Aged Care, Housekeeping Assistants play a critical role in providing quality housekeeping and cleaning services focused on infection control to ensure a safe, healthy living environment for residents.

Working closely with the Facility Manager and the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, main entrance, outdoor entertainment areas, admin offices, and dining halls. You will also provide laundry services and ensure residents' daily needs are met.

This role involves physical tasks such as bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items. It is important that you can perform these tasks safely to prevent injury to yourself, colleagues, and residents.

About You

Compassionate with a customer service mindset, you are a strong communicator and problem solver who can think on your feet. You build supportive relationships and strive for high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and order within the facility. We hire based on attitude and aptitude, so experience in aged care is not required, but alignment with our philosophy and values is essential. You should also have:

  • Demonstrated cleaning experience
  • Ability to follow checklists and safety procedures
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals, hazardous products, and heated equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high empathy
  • Punctuality and readiness for shifts
  • A safety-first approach to daily tasks
