Ipswich, Australia Defy IT Full time
About Defy IT

Defy IT is a leading provider of IT services across cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and managed IT support. We help businesses modernise, protect, and scale their technology so they can focus on growth. Our culture is built on innovation, accountability, and results, both for our clients and our team.

The Role

We are looking for a confident Telesales Agent to be the first voice potential clients hear when they connect with Defy IT. You'll be responsible for generating quality leads and booking meetings for our senior sales team. This is a target-driven role, so you'll need energy, resilience, and a genuine ability to connect with people over the phone. This is not a passive "warm leads only" role. You'll be actively prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and helping build a strong pipeline of new business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make outbound calls, send follow-up emails, and use LinkedIn/social platforms to connect with decision-makers.
  • Qualify prospects by uncovering business needs and pain points, ensuring they're the right fit for our services.
  • Book high-quality appointments and demos for the senior sales team.
  • Track all activity in HubSpot CRM accurately and in real-time.
  • Consistently hit daily and weekly activity and results targets (calls, leads, appointments).
  • Represent Defy IT with professionalism and enthusiasm as this is the first impression we make.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in telesales, lead generation, or outbound sales, ideally in a B2B.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, confident phone manner.
  • Comfortable making high-volume cold calls and handling rejection professionally.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (or another major CRM platform).
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage your own sales pipeline.
  • Motivated by targets, with a track record of meeting or exceeding them.
  • A basic understanding of IT services, or the ability to learn quickly.
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience selling technology, SaaS, or professional services.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.
What's in It for You?
  • $26.00 - $32.00 p/h + uncapped commission: earnings directly linked to performance.
  • Work with a growing IT company at the forefront of cybersecurity and cloud services.
  • Convenient office location in Indooroopilly, close to transport and amenities.
  • Career progression opportunities for top performers (into full-time sales or potential account management roles).
  • Supportive team environment where results are recognised, culture is a priority, and proactive leaders available to help you succeed.
Ready to apply?

If you're competitive, motivated, and want a role where your success directly boosts your earnings, we want to hear from you.

Send us your CV and a short cover note outlining your sales experience and results by Seek, or via email to *****@halcyonhrconsultancy.com

Applications close: 21 September 2025 but may close sooner. We will then review applications and fill the vacancy.
