As an employee of Singleton Council, you will join an engaged, safe, sustainable and performing (ESSP) workforce who work collectively to create community.
Singleton Council has a long and proud history. From our agricultural foundations to our abundant natural resources, we are more than just New South Wales' largest producer of coal. Singleton has developed into the economic beating heart of the State and a centre of industry, heritage, tourism and community.
Here at Council, we offer a wide range of services, supporting our community vision to be vibrant, progressive, connected, sustainable and resilient.

ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
We're looking for a passionate and experienced arts and culture professional to lead the Singleton Arts & Cultural Centre (SACC) as our next Coordinator Arts & Culture (Gallery Director).
You'll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality exhibitions, inclusive public programs, and community engagement initiatives that contribute to Singleton's cultural identity and creative economy. This is a people leader position that combines vision, strategy, and hands-on delivery, offering the chance to shape a growing regional arts centre with national ambition.

- Promote the Arts & Cultural Centre as a vibrant cultural destination and enhance its visibility in the region
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders and the Singleton Arts & Cultural Advisory Group
You'll be a confident leader and curator of ideas with a strong background in the gallery or cultural sector. You thrive on collaboration, are comfortable with complexity, and understand what it takes to run a high-quality arts venue in a regional context.
To Succeed In This Role, You'll Have
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in visual arts, arts management, cultural policy, or museum/gallery practice
- Proven experience delivering exhibitions and public programs in a public gallery or similar institution
- Strong people leadership, project management and budgeting skills
- A track record of growing diverse audiences and engaging community through arts initiatives
- Experience securing and managing grants and external funding
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working in or with local government
- Knowledge of public art, First Nations engagement, or cultural inclusion practices
- Membership in relevant industry bodies (e.g. PGNSW, M&G NSW, NAVA)
