About Opendoor
Opendoor is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering people to achieve meaningful roles in society. We work across Employment, Youth, Training, Disability, and Social Enterprise to create practical solutions to unemployment and disadvantage throughout Melbourne and Geelong.

At Opendoor, our values guide everything we do:

Relationships – dignity, community, respect

Optimism – positive expectations of success and growth

Diversity – embracing and celebrating differences

Advocacy – championing opportunities for the disadvantaged

About the Transition to Work Program
Transition to Work (TtW), funded through Workforce Australia, supports young people aged 15–24 who are at risk of long-term unemployment. The program provides tailored education, training, and employment pathways, helping young people build skills, confidence, and independence.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Site Manager to lead Opendoor's TtW program site operations. You will oversee day-to-day management, provide direction and support to staff, and ensure service delivery meets contractual, financial, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supporting the TtW site team to achieve outcomes for young people

Ensuring compliance with Workforce Australia contractual requirements and quality standards

Building strong networks with employers, industry groups, and community stakeholders

Monitoring site budgets, targets, and performance outcomes

Driving innovative approaches to youth engagement, job placement, and retention

Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability

About You
You will bring leadership skills, strong knowledge of employment services, and a passion for supporting young people. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance strategic oversight with hands-on management.

To be successful, you will have:

Qualifications and extensive experience in Employment Services, Youth Work, Community Services, or a related discipline

Proven experience managing government-funded programs, including contractual compliance and audit standards

Strong understanding of labour market trends and youth employment barriers

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, achieve targets, and drive service outcomes

Commitment to Opendoor's values, with the ability to model optimism, integrity, and inclusivity

The successful applicant will hold, at a minimum, a Certificate IV in Community Services or a related discipline (such as Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar). Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification must be willing to obtain it within the first 12 months of employment. Additional tertiary qualifications in these fields will be highly regarded.

Child Safety
Opendoor is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We operate in compliance with the Child Safe Standards and the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 (Vic). Our recruitment practices reflect our commitment to safeguarding, and all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check, Police Check, and other relevant pre-employment screening.
