About the role

AGL's HSE Energy Hubs & Construction team have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor.

Based in Adelaide or Melbourne, the role will focus on health & safety demolition works, hazmat removal, site transition and collaborating across teams to ensure projects are completed safely.

What you'll be doing :

  • Supporting the development, implementation and review of H&S Policy, systems and procedures including AGL contractor management framework.
  • Supporting Projects in accordance with AGL HSE Project Governance Procedure and Contractor Management Framework
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of business / H&S initiatives and actions.
  • Support the business as required with the delivery of HSE contractor forums for critical contracting engagements.
  • Assisting the Senior Manager with RFP / tender reviews.
  • Monitoring H&S performance for projects and implement HS improvement programs or interventions to address performance or for continuous performance.

What you'll bring to the table :

Tertiary qualification in WHS (Certificate IV minimum)Health & Safety experience in Heavy Industrial, Construction / Demolition and High-Risk IndustriesInterpersonal skills with high quality accurate written and verbal communication skillsProven people / stakeholder engagement skillsEffective project management skillsStrong analytical and conceptual skillsStrong risk management skillsStrong experience with Contractor managementIncident Investigation and Management
