About the role

Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent have come together to form NGM Group Ltd, a powerhouse in customer-owned banking. As our growth journey progresses, we're excited to offer a key opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking Product Development Lead to join our Digital and Proposition Development team. In this critical role, you'll lead our product development strategy across deposits and lending - delivering new products, changes to our existing products, simplifying our product offerings, new innovative customer propositions, and managing major initiatives that span brands and customer segments.

This role will provide the direction for our agile Product Delivery Hub and a team of high-performing Product, Delivery, IT, and Change specialists, working closely with our Product Management and other internal operational teams. You'll oversee the development and launch of products and features that are aligned to our strategic priorities, regulatory landscape, and evolving customer needs - all while influencing executive committees and collaborating across technology, risk, operations, marketing, and beyond.

Key responsibilities

Develop and drive the deposit and lending product development strategy, innovation priorities, and product roadmaps.

Develop the roadmap for the Product Delivery Hub—determining priorities, capacity planning, and reporting to executive and board committees.

Deliver major initiatives including new product launches, product migrations, complex product remediation and new customer propositions.

Guide cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from discovery to launch.

Design and execute customer migration strategies across brands and product portfolios.

Oversee governance and risk processes related to product transitions, regulatory compliance, and executive reporting.

Engage senior stakeholders across the Group and external industry bodies, presenting investment proposals, strategy updates, and business cases.

Lead and mentor our high-performing product development team.

What we're looking for

Extensive experience leading product strategy, development and delivery in financial services or similar regulated environments.

Strong understanding of deposit and lending product structures, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.

Experience delivering large-scale customer and product migration programs.

Proven ability to lead large multifunctional teams in agile environments.

Expert in stakeholder engagement, executive communication, and portfolio prioritisation.

A confident strategist and people leader who can mentor, inspire, and drive high-performance teams.

Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills at the most senior levels.

Beyond the expected perks that we're proud to offer like fitness passports, corporate health insurance, and paid parental leave, we go the extra mile to offer benefits that truly enhance your work-life balance, career growth, and sense of belonging.

Boredom? Never heard of it. We're all about challenging, stimulating work that sparks innovation, fuels passion, and keeps you inspired every day.

We're all about bringing people together - whether it's through open conversations, a culture of respect, or just having a laugh in a truly inclusive workplace.

Learning never stops here. Whether it's LinkedIn Learning, formal training, external industry engagement, career coaching, study leave, or even a great podcast rec, we support every kind of growth—professional and personal.
