Job Description

This is a senior leadership position responsible for guiding and improving the engineering organization that designs, develops, validates, improves, and/or supports products, systems, or applications.

The role reports to another Engineering Manager, Engineering Director, or Site Leader and provides technical expertise in guiding design efforts, customer interactions, and other engineering-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance product development velocity and cost efficiency
  • Create, maintain, and improve design standards resulting in high-quality and compliant products
  • Implement and support Cross-Functional Teams to improve product development efficiency
  • Support Quality Initiatives to resolve current or NPI quality issues (escapes, NCR's, etc.) where design support is required
  • Maintain and improve a highly effective and well-skilled staff to carry out actions to complete planned objectives
  • Develop strategies to support business growth through structure and best practice methods

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of engineering experience in an identical or closely related field
  • Lean Certification and Greenbelt experience
  • Previous management experience with a track record of success
  • Excellent technical knowledge and communication skills

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS)

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Solid knowledge of the product life cycle, especially related key deliverables
  • Good time management and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
