We have a great opportunity available for an Industrial Relations Manager who wants to develop their career in a growing ASX-listed leader in its field. You will play an important role in supporting the ER/IR function on a range of workplace matters and initiatives, primarily across our corporate, transport, and telecommunications divisions.
About the role
You will be supported by a collaborative and approachable team within a dynamic work environment, that also values times of celebration and having a few laughs. This will be based from our modern Head Office, across from Southern Cross Station, featuring a balcony, BBQ area, collaborative and quiet spaces and an abundance of natural light.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio across multiple business units.
- Leading and managing enterprise bargaining negotiations.
- Supporting in the strategic bargaining space through the creation of benchmarking, trend assessment and comparative analysis.
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting the business with compliance matters.
- Assisting with workplace investigations and the reviewing of reports and outcome letters.
- Maintaining appropriate record keeping in relation to all interactions with team members and leaders and case management activities.
- Being an escalation point for complex cases and manage all workplace litigation within your portfolio.
- Assisting with regular updated and briefings on changes in the Law.
- Maintaining a current knowledge of human resource and industrial relations frameworks, legislation, policy, and practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law (highly desirable).
- Previous experience in a similar role providing ER and IR advice to team members and leaders, with demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation, industrial instruments, and Modern Awards.
- Strong knowledge and experience interpreting industrial instruments (enterprise agreements and awards), HR policies and legislation, and providing advice to team members and leaders regarding outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills, with good ability to work with excel spreadsheets and data.
- Great time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary.
- IR experience in a blue-collar workforce will be viewed favourably.
