We are seeking a skilled Industrial Relations Professional to join our team.

This autonomous role involves managing employee relations issues and investigations, providing high-quality advice, coaching, and support to line leaders and HR teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage your own caseload, providing fast-paced and high-quality ER advice, coaching, and investigation support to line leaders
  • Conduct end-to-end investigations into various ER matters from grievances to significant bullying, harassment, fraud, or misconduct cases
  • Prepare documents and responses for matters before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals
  • Represent Alstom at conciliations and dispute matters in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals
  • Manage complex matters involving ill and injured team members
  • Support EA negotiations with employee and union bargaining representatives
  • Provide leaders with training, recommendations, coaching, and advice on legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor industry trends, legislative updates, and tribunal decisions to inform proactive, compliant, and effective workplace relations strategies
About You:
  • You have experience within a human resources generalist, employee, and industrial relations professional position across medium to large-size organisations
  • You have a proven background in managing or supporting investigations into misconduct, grievances, or protected disclosures
  • You possess excellent coaching, negotiation, and influencing skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • You have sound knowledge and understanding of relevant ER/IR legislation within different jurisdictions and application in policy, including experience with the Fair Work Commission and other relevant bodies
  • You have strong communication skills and relationship-building skills, as well as a commercial orientation
  • You are effective in time management and able to manage multiple competing priorities and time-sensitive cases
  • You have previous exposure to the successful implementation of replacement enterprise agreements across organisations
