Our client is a long-established Respiratory and Sleep Specialist practice located in Spring Hill.
They are currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis – Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. The rostered hours will fall between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with an occasional 7:30am start once a month.
The successful candidate will work closely with the administration team and Practice Manager to provide comprehensive reception and secretarial support to 4 specialists.
This position is ideal for a seasoned Medical Receptionist/Secretary with demonstrated experience in a private specialist practice, who is passionate about patient care and eager to develop their skills further in a busy and collaborative team environment.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Meet and greet of patients visiting the practice
- Taking all incoming telephone calls and assisting patient with general enquiries
- Responding to all email correspondence in an appropriate time frame
- Preparing and running patient clinics, including patient appointment bookings, data entry of patient details into HealthTrack, reviewing upcoming clinics and ensuring all patient records are in order before the day of clinic, appointment reminders, attending to patient emails and handling all telephone enquiries
- Processing of all patient billing/receipting for consultations
- Providing general administration support to the wider team
- A strong desire to provide a high level of service to the patients of the practice
- immaculate personal presentation
- An exemplary telephone manner and a compassionate demeanor
- Have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar position
- Must be a team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate you are proactive with strong time management and organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise your workload efficiently.
- Must be able to multi skill and work under pressure
- High level of competency in Microsoft Word and Outlook,
- Previous experience using HealthTrack software is highly desirable however training will be provided
Remuneration
A competitive hourly rate between $35 to $40 p/hour + super will be offered to a suitably experienced candidate. The practice is located in Spring Hill and is conveniently accessible via all major public transport routes.
