Salisbury Medical Centre is an independent family practice, located in Salisbury in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. We pride ourselves on patient care and providing a work place that supports our employees. We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our care team.

Work hours would be Wednesday to Friday between 7.30am to 6.30pm. Saturday morning rotational roster (1 in 5). 20 hours per week and shift cover when staff are away sick or on holidays.

Job tasks and responsibilities

·Be part of our professional and friendly reception team

·Responsible for all front desk duties within the team

·Answering phones and triage of patients

·Billing to Medicare/DVA, Private patients,Work Cover and Medicals

·Scanning medical documentation

·Willingness to learn and take direction

·Ongoing mentoring and education

·Reporting toPractice Manager

Skills and experience

·Medical reception experience (1-2 years preferred)

·Best Practice or use of medical software would be an advantage

·Flexibility and Reliability

·Ability to work within a team

The doctors, nurses and reception team all work together to provide the community with best General Practice care.
