Randstad Senior Finance is supporting a prestigious business based in Bayside, Melbourne who are searching for a Financial Controller to join the team.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for

  • Leading a team of seven (both qualified and non qualified) delivering support to two distinct businesses
  • Month end process including review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure results are available by working day 5
  • Working cross functionally to deliver financial reporting requirements
  • Oversight of transactional accounting functions (AP/AR/Payroll/Banking)
  • Compliance reporting including GST and income tax
  • Maintenance of banking relationships
  • Management of financial systems
  • Delivery of process improvements with end to end process review upon starting
  • Drive integration of two finance teams which recently merged into a unified shared services function
  • Strong people leadership - coaching, mentoring and upskilling

To be successful in this role you will have

  • CA or CPA qualification (Big 4 background highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrable experience improving processes and developing control frameworks
  • Strong people leadership capabilities and the ability to boost morale in the team
  • Ability to hit the ground running and start adding value immediately
