Overview

Village Manager - Part-Time (3 days per week). Location: support 4 retirement living villages - Hamilton, Mayfield, Caves Beach, and Belmont North. Shape safe, supported, and welcoming retirement living with Uniting. At Uniting, we are proud to support older Australians to live independently, safely, and with dignity. We are looking for a calm, organised, and people-focused Village Manager to join our team on a part-time basis, 3 days per week. This is a rewarding, community-facing role supporting the well-being and satisfaction of residents - and helping create a harmonious, well-run and welcoming village environment.

Responsibilities
  • Providing respectful, person-centred service to Retirement Village contract holders.
  • Supporting residents' wellbeing, independence, and sense of connection.
  • Liaising with the Asset and Housing teams to coordinate maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Managing records, correspondence, and reporting using Uniting systems.
  • Helping foster an inclusive, respectful, and harmonious village culture.
  • Participating in budget planning and supporting annual meetings with residents.
What you will need to succeed
  • A calm, level-headed, and professional approach - you are someone who brings harmony to a team and confidence to residents.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills - you keep things running smoothly, even when juggling competing demands.
  • Great communication and conflict resolution skills - you listen deeply, act respectfully, and resolve concerns with compassion and fairness.
  • A warm, welcoming personality with a genuine desire to support older people to live well and independently.
  • A willingness to learn - we will provide training and support to help you succeed, and to build on your existing experience.
  • Own vehicle required - generous mileage reimbursement.
  • Experience in retirement living, aged care, housing, or community services will be well regarded, but is not essential if you bring a commitment to doing the role well.
