Why Škoda

Škoda Australia is looking for a dynamic and driven Fleet Manager to build strong relationships with corporate and government customers. This role is about driving performance, delivering sustainable sales growth, and expanding Škoda's fleet presence.

Your New Role

As a Škoda Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of Škoda's fleet strategy, acquiring new fleet business, and building strong customer and dealer relationships to ensure sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will collaborate with Regional Managers, the VGA Corporate Sales team, Volkswagen Financial Services, and Škoda Dealers to maximise corporate and fleet sales opportunities. This role combines strategic planning, business development, and hands-on relationship management to strengthen Škoda's position within the fleet market.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
  • Developing and implementing short- and long-term fleet sales strategies to achieve annual sales and market share objectives.
  • Partnering with Škoda Dealers and Regional Managers to drive fleet business development within local markets.
  • Prospecting and securing new fleet clients through direct engagement, dealer networks, and strategic partnerships.
  • Managing tender and RFP submissions with compelling product value propositions tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to create targeted campaigns that promote Škoda's fleet offering.
  • Working with Volkswagen Financial Services and fleet management organisations (FMOs) to leverage leasing and finance opportunities.
  • Supporting and coaching dealer fleet teams to enhance customer engagement and sales performance.
  • Monitoring industry trends and identifying growth opportunities across the corporate and government fleet sectors.
  • Managing fleet tactical budgets, stock planning, and discount structures to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
  • Representing Škoda at industry committees, fleet forums, and dealer events to strengthen brand presence.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, or a related field (desirable).
  • 10+ years' experience in fleet sales, business development, or a related automotive role.
  • Strong background in fleet and FMO sales with a strategic mindset and commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and build long-term business relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in managing corporate clients and dealer stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, and stock requirements.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the drive to identify opportunities and deliver growth.
  • Passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
