    Your role

Contribute to improved organisational effectiveness through the analysis, design, development, and delivery of operational training programs.

The role is responsible for responding to the learning needs of the entire Courts, Tribunals, and Service Delivery Division (CTSD), as well as developing, updating, and delivering programs to meet these needs. The program will include competency-based and operational training programs. You will need to liaise with departmental staff, training colleagues, and management to ensure operational training needs are met in an effective and efficient way.

    About The Team

The Operational Training Team (OTT) consists of 4 x Operational Training Specialists, 1 x Senior Operational Training Instructional Designer, and 1 x Manager Operational Training.

The team is expected to attend a monthly face-to-face meeting in Sydney, as well as being individually directed to work at any location in NSW as required. When not directed to a specific location, work from home can be an option with the bounds of the DCJ Flexible Work Policy. Travel duties are shared between the team, regardless of home location within the state.

The OTT is responsible for the design, review, and delivery of the CTSD operational training catalogue; consisting of a combination of face-to-face and virtually facilitated modules as well as a library of online eLearn's. The focus of the catalogue is court-specific operational knowledge tailored to specific jurisdictions, with an emphasis on JusticeLink software. The catalogue also includes a variety of soft skills writing and client service courses, with the most requested courses being induction modules for new staff.

    What You'll Do
    • Deliver operational training programs for the business, both virtually via MS Teams and face-to-face.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of operational training programs.
    • Contribute to the development of operational training plans and strategies.
    • Liaise with Divisional staff and managers to identify client needs; support the ongoing development of competencies and capability frameworks; and contribute to the achievement of corporate and business plan objectives.
    • Provides consultancy services and advice on operational training.
    • Project work as required.
    • Partner to ensure operational training meets business needs and is aligned to business and Divisional plans.

    What We're Looking For
    • Training/adult education experience.
    • Experience in the development and delivery of operational training and a comprehensive understanding of operational training issues.
    • Detailed operational experience within CTSD business centres.
    • Willingness and ability to travel to any location in New South Wales, including possible overnight stays. (Appropriate allowances will be paid for travel). For further information about the travel component of this role, please contact Goran Jakovski via Goran.Jakovski@justice.nsw.gov.au
