In an organization committed to customer service and putting "Customers first", this role provides advice to a range of stakeholders in relation to the internal and external reporting and statistical analysis of complex family support and child protection departmental data collections, trends and performance.
This role manages a team to support various external and internal reporting and analysis activities for the department, including data collections, measure development, business intelligence solutions, requests and written advice.
As a Manager You Will
- Provide leadership and expert analysis and advice regarding family support and child protection data collection, reporting and analytical capabilities for the department.
- Lead and manage reporting, analysis, modelling and data analytics projects to support a broad range of policy and service delivery imperatives related to the services delivered and contracted by the department.
- Represent the department at state and national data and analysis network forums, as required, preparing high quality correspondence, submissions, briefing notes and reports.
- Promote and manage relationships with key stakeholders including national working groups and central agencies, non-government stakeholders and departmental business units.
- Lead and manage a team of multi-disciplinary officers to ensure the strategic goals of department and branch are achieved through the use of an evidence-based policy framework.
- Promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of management practices and policies including performance management, EEO principles, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety requirements.
Role Specific/technical Skills
- You are able to demonstrate a well-developed computer literacy, with demonstrated skills in the use of human services integrated client management systems and familiarity with statistical/data science and analytics concepts and tools.
- You demonstrate knowledge and understanding of measuring performance and data quality principles and apply best practice approaches to the collection, collation, interpretation, analysis and presentation of performance data and information.
- There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications are highly regarded.
