As Manager, you'll manage a high performing, dynamic team within the Office of the Deputy Director-General. You'll be someone who thrives under pressure, with solid experience in executive support, correspondence administration, portfolio and governance management. You'll be working closely with the Director to support and advise the Deputy Director-General, OIR executives and other key stakeholders.

As the Manager, you will work autonomously and manage the Office of the Deputy Director-General (ODDG) team to deliver timely, efficient, professional and high quality outcomes in the areas of executive support, correspondence administration, portfolio and governance management. You will oversee multiple initiatives, influence others and work across boundaries to build strong networks in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• With a strong people focus, manage the day to day activities of the ODDG team to ensure that work priorities are defined and outcomes are delivered through professional, supportive and empowering leadership.

• Provide expert, comprehensive and timely strategic advice and support to the Director and Deputy Director-General on key issues, identifying connections and opportunities for improvement across OIR.

• Work collaboratively with senior executives to facilitate effective integration and support of strategies, frameworks and planning.

• Establish and foster collaborative networks and partnerships across OIR to effectively manage emerging issues and implement solutions.

• Lead the development and delivery of key whole of government reporting and other activities including SDS, annual report and other commitments.

• Oversee the development and implementation of portfolio, governance, performance, planning and risk management frameworks, policies and reporting that are aligned to business strategy and compliant with government requirements.

• Oversee the delivery of executive services and support in relation to correspondence, briefing notes, Government and Parliamentary matters.

• Prepare or edit high level documents for contentious, confidential or significant issues on a wide range of subjects.
