Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join the Emergency Department at Milton Ulladulla Hospital, part of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert nursing care to patients with complex needs, while leading the development of specialist clinical practices and contributing to service improvement initiatives. You will act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, supporting best practice care delivery and fostering professional development within the team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated clinician with demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing, advanced clinical decision-making skills, and a commitment to patient-centred care.

Employment type: Temporary Full Time until 27 September 2026. Location: Milton Ulladulla Hospital (MUH). Salary: $113,243.15 - $116,963.48 per annum + 12% super & salary packaging.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex needs in the Emergency Department.
  • Lead the development of specialist clinical practices and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff; support best practice care delivery and professional development within the team.
Requirements
  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 27 September 2026, with the possibility of an extension at the same or reduced hours.
