About the role
The Environmental and Sustainability Manager will support the Operational leaders and manage and monitor the delivery of initiatives in the sector SHEQ Resource Reduction Plan to achieve Sector objectives and sustainable outcomes, across environmental, resource reduction and emissions.

This is a permanent full-time role open to candidates who are based in VIC, NSW, or QLD with flexible working (hybrid) arrangements on offer.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and deliver key environmental and sustainability activities to support achievement of Sector targets
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support a culture of innovation and client focus, advocating for partnership and influencing adoption of new technologies and processes in line with enterprise goals
  • Support operational teams with data collation and environmental and sustainability reporting to clients
  • Monitor monthly progress of sustainability metrics and prepare updates for Management
  • Track sustainability deliverables under the SHEQ plan, Resource Reduction Plan and key client commitments
  • Build environmental sustainability knowledge and capability in SHEQ and operational teams
  • Contribute to SHEQ and sustainability forums in the sector and across Ventia
  • Support Sector work winning teams to develop sustainability offerings of new proposals and contracts

About you

  • Previous experience in sustainability or environmental management operating at a senior level
  • Understanding of and experience aligning to respected sustainability standards and/ or frameworks
  • Demonstrated success in delivering sustainability objectives
  • Tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental management, science, engineering or related discipline
