Team Leader – Springwood Mental Health Team. NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, and collaborates with multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers to provide mental health care in community-based settings.
The Community Mental Health Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to drive excellence in consumer care and clinical practice. This pivotal role requires advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to recovery‑oriented service delivery.
Responsibilities- Oversee the implementation of evidence‑based assessments and interventions.
- Guide professional development across the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage key operational functions including rostering, workload allocation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead change within the workplace, balance competing demands, and motivate staff.
- Advocate for a recovery‑focused model of care with consumer and carer consultation.
- Demonstrated expert level skills in mental health and discipline‑specific assessments and interventions, with experience working with people with serious mental illness.
- Demonstrated management experience and/or ability to provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team; experience in clinical service management and quality improvement programs.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), good interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of contemporary community mental health service issues; ability to lead change and motivate staff.
- Current Driver's License and willingness to use it for work purposes.
- Professional qualifications applicable to the role (examples include: Social Worker or Occupational Therapist Level 4, Nursing, Snr Psych, Clin Psych, with relevant registrations and experience as described in the original posting).
- Social Worker or Occupational Therapist Level 4: $121,658.00 - $124,607.00 per annum
- Senior Psychologist: $119,206.00 - $129,171.00 per annum
- Clinical Psychologist: $109,247.00 - $133,156.00 per annum
- Nurse Unit Manager Level 2: $133,112.74 per annum
- Position classifications and remuneration dependent on qualifications
