Job Description

Provide specialist health response aligned with your clinical practice scope, injury and return-to-work management, and effective medical and emergency response at Poitrel Mine site.

  1. Attend and deliver effective Mines Rescue Emergency Response, including preparation, training, and response capabilities. Maintain ERT competencies as per Mine standards.
  2. Maintain clinical practice competencies under the Poitrel drug licence and Stanmore's Clinical Practice guidelines.
  3. Ensure ERT competencies meet required standards.
  4. Provide effective on-site medical response, including preparation and training.
  5. Monitor Coal Board Medicals, follow up on upcoming and overdue medicals, manage site access, and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  6. Participate in injury management, review medical presentations, coordinate follow-ups, and develop health and return-to-work plans.
  7. Monitor medication declarations and TMP letters.
  8. Assist with patient treatment and precautionary duties.
  9. Support hygiene duties such as hearing and respiratory fit testing.
  10. Participate in safety meetings and team activities.
  11. Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring servicing and calibration records are up-to-date.
  12. Support site health programs like flu vaccinations, skin checks, onsite physio, and hydration testing.
  13. Assist in supporting SAC operations and coverage.
Qualifications
  • Current Rescue Board Medical without restrictions
  • Valid Light and Heavy Rigid Vehicle Licences and relevant State Driver's Licence
  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Paramedic or Registered Nurse without restrictions
  • Scope of Practice issued by Stanmore's Clinical Governance provider
  • Paramedicine or Nursing tertiary qualifications
  • Confidentiality agreement compliance
  • Qualification for Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
Experience

Minimum of 5 years' emergency response and medical experience, preferably on a QLD Coal Mining Site.
