Job Description

Reporting to the HSEC Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and mentoring team members to ensure deliver of the following:

• Develop and lead and effective Mine Rescue Emergency Response, including the management of effective preparation, training and response capability of the ERT Team.
• Management and coordination of the maintenance of, ad and leading the effective Medical Response on site, including effective preparation, training and response capability of site medical team (Medics).
• Manage Injury Classification and Management in coordination with the Supervisors and HSEC Manager.
• Case management - collate all relevant evidence and documentation to classify and close cases. Review with HSE Superintendent or Manager as required.
• Ensuring compliance with QLD Coal Mining Health and Safety legislative requirements around hygiene monitoring and Statutory reporting.
• Provide guidance and support to HSEC Supervisors, MESO's and ESO's as required.
• Develop, maintain and govern requirements for the site's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
• Maintain SHMS compliance in line with relevant legislative requirements and Stanmore requirements.
• Govern our risk management requirements so far as it related to Health, Security and Emergency at the mine.
• Provide technical support to applicable SHMS access systems which support Coal Mine Workers (CMW's)
• Establish and implement a compliance schedule for the SHMS within your areas of oversight.
• Identify and lead initiatives to bridge any identified gaps, facilitate change and embed new systems to support the continuous improvement of the Safety and Health Management system.
  
  

Qualifications

• Apply risk management processes RIIRIS301D, RIIWHS301D and RIICOMN301D
• Carry out the Risk Management Process RIIRIS402D (G2)
• Level 5 or higher qualification or equivalent in HSE, Law, Safety/Risk, Business, emergency response management.
• Certificate IV Trainer Assessor (preferred)
• Establish and Maintain the Risk Management System RIIRIS601E (preferred)
• Establish and Maintain the WHS Management System RIIWHS601E (preferred)
• RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue. (advantageous)
